Where to put your badges
With the Awards Evening coming up fast, you’ll want to make sure your current, and hopefully new, badges go. Visit the Awards Information page (http://59thsheffieldbb.org.uk/?page_id=407) to see details of where all your badges should go.
He Lives!!
With it being Easter Week, the Junior craft was making some elaborate foam crosses, which they all did extremely well with!!
Preparing for Easter
Tonight, the Juniors made an Easter calendar which takes them through Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Monsters
Craft for Juniors tonight was to use their creative skills with crepe paper and felt to make a scary monster. Definitely different!!
Advent Rings
Juniors made Advent Rings this evening. They learnt about what the four candles represent: Mary, God’s people, the prophets and John the Baptist. On Christmas Day, a white candle for Jesus is placed in the centre. Advent Sunday is 28th November even though everybody’s calendars don’t start until 1st December on Thursday.
Fun and games with the Juniors
We play a lot of games at Juniors, but by far the funniest is the train relay. We play it like a basic relay when one person runs around a chair and back again. The difference is the first person goes again but with the second person attached to the back. This continues until the last go when all the boys in the team are in a long train. Brilliant!!
